Premier Art Gallery 2026

Join us for an afternoon of art, empathy, and community connection as we explore the intersection of creativity and advocacy.

The Black Balloon Project brings together artists, families, and advocates to honor lives impacted by substance use, overdose and fentanyl poisoning. Through visual storytelling and shared experience, the exhibition aims to reduce stigma, foster dialogue, and honor those who lost their lives to overdose and fentanyl poisoning.

Featured photographer Gabi Deaton presents a powerful series that captures the emotional landscape of overdose loss — a deeply personal reflection on grief, memory, and love. Alongside her work, local community members will showcase mixed media pieces inspired by their own journeys through substance use, loss, and healing.

This event welcomes all — individuals in recovery, families affected by overdose, allies, and anyone seeking to better understand the human stories behind addiction and recovery.

Admission: Free and open to the public.
Refreshments and light appetizers.
Free Narcan & harm reductions items.

3pm: Speeches and memorial slideshow.
